Elizabeth L. Enriquez

Elizabeth L. Enriquez is Associate Professor of Broadcasting in the Department of Broadcast Communication, College of Mass Communication. She has a Ph.D. in Philippine Studies, major in History and Sociology. Her most recent publication, Appropriation of Colonial Broadcasting: A History of Early Radio in the Philippines, 1922- 1946, is a pioneering work on the  history of radio broadcasting in the Philippines, launched by the UP Press this year. Prof. Enriquez worked in Philippine radio and television for 17 years before she began teaching in the University in 1990. She is at present the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs of UP Diliman. Her academic concentrations and advocacies include media literacy and gender studies.
