Cynthia Cockburn

Cynthia Cockburn is a feminist researcher and writer,active in the international networks Women in Black against War, and the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. She is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Sociology at City University London, and Honorary Professor in the Centre for the Study of Women and Gender at the University of Warwick. The campaign of ‘Women against NATO’ features in her book Antimilitarism: Political and Gender Dynamics of Peace Movements, Palgrave Macmillan forthcoming in 2012.
