Marvic Leonen is the father of a four-year old daughter. His work as a public interest lawyer, an associate professor of law and his keen interest in seeing meaning led him to photography. (2007)

He is one of the founders and current chair of the board of the Legai Rights and Naturai Resources Centre-Kasama ng Kaiikasan (LRC-KSK). He is aiso Associate Professor of the University of the Phiiippines (UP), Coliege of Law and UP Vice-President for Legal Affairs. (2005)
