Board of Trustees

Featured in this issue are the members of the Isis International Board of Trustees. They are: La Rainne Abad Sarmiento, Marilee Karl, Sr. Mary John Mananzan, Ana Maria Ronquillo-Nemenzo and Lucia Pavia Ticzon. Most of them have been introduced to you in the 1/91 issue as part of the Isis Manila Team. Meet two more of our energetic board members below:

Sr. Mary John Mananzan, OSB, energetic nun-activist, is deeply involved in many women's groups and non government organizations in the Philippines and around the world. She is the founder and executive director of the Institute of Women's Studies in the Philippines, and the national chairperson of GABRIELA. She is also the executive committee member of the International Association of Mission Studies and board of director for CONCILIUM of Holland. A published author, she is sought-after as resource person for popular talk shows, international conferences and seminars. She has been interviewed and featured by leading local and foreign journalists.

Ana Maria "Princess" Ronquillo-Nemenzo. Princess is a veteran participant of many conferences, seminars and workshops in the Philippines and overseas dealing with women, health, population, development issues and feminist concerns. Aside from her involvement as a board member of Isis, she is currently kept busy by her other commitments such as: national coordinator of Woman Health - Philippines, director of Our Lady of Lourdes Child Guidance Center, and member of KALAYAAN - a political women's group. She is an alumnae of the University of the Philippines, and the University of Manchester in England. She is mother to three children.
