Isis International is an international non-governmental organization that promotes networking, communication and cooperation among women and groups working for women's empowerment and full participation in development. Isis International provides communication channels, support, training and services for Third World women and groups in the following areas: resource center and information, communications, health networking, advocacy and campaigns, networking services and skills training.

The network Isis International reaches over 50,000 women and groups worldwide, in both rural and urban areas, including grassroots women and groups, non-governmental organizations, and development planners and policymakers.


Isis International's
objectives are:

O to promote women's empowerment and full participation in development:

O to promote communications channels among women around the world, especially South-South communication;

O to build links of support and solidarity among women worldwide and strengthen local, regional and global networks of women;

O to build women's capacity to participate in community organizations and the development process by providing support, training and tools for awareness building, information and communication skills;

O to provide channels for women to make their voices heard at the planning and policy-making levels.
