Dear Friends.

On the 8th of March, International Women's Day, we wish you all success and progress for our common aim: a world free of any threat of atomic war, free of exploitation, a world crowned with peace, democracy and welfare for us and our new generation. Looking forward for more cooperation.

Yours sincerely,

DearMarilee,

We're most interested in:

1. obtaining literature on women's collectives/co-operatives (esp. those promoting economic independence besides feminist behaviour.) Perhaps you could also send details about ISIS.

2. establishing relations with women's collectives, and other collectives in general.

3. getting in touch with possible flinders.

4. obtaining literature on Feminism. Ta.

In Siblinghood,

Dear Folk at ISIS,

Women in Development arrived last week and it's been well worth the wait. The discussion and the wide range of resources - books, periodicals and groups - which you have assembled will make it a fundamental tool for anyone working in this field. It fills a very real gap. I found it especially good for the way it always sets the situation of women into the wider context and draws on work which is not specifically "feminist" but analyses the broader context in which women (like men) live and work. Congratulations to you and I hope it does well as Tm sure it will.

As a minute return of information you may be interested to know of a book of mine which has just been published by the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation. Food, Poverty & Power (Spokesman, Bertrand Russell House, Gamble St, Nottingham, England, 1983) 123 pp, £ 3.50 paperback. It's an introduction to the economic and political reasons for hunger and the impact of the North - and its agricultural systems — on the South. It uses cartograms, cartoons and lots of quotations, especially from
Third World writers and poets, and has an extensive annotated bibliography.

All good wishes for your work in 1983.

Yours sincerely,

Anne Buchanan

Dear Friends,

We are women from Mendoza, Republic of Argentina. Through a Chilean friend of ours we received your bulletin No. 10 of July 1982.

We would like to share with you our enthusiasm about your publication, which fulfils the great need for coordination of feminist activities all over the world.

We would like to collaborate with you by making our contribution on women's specific problems. We call upon a rich experience developed through CIM: Centro de Investigacion de la Mujer (Women's Research Center) founded in Mendoza in 1969.

Since then we have done studies and research and organised conferences, congresses and meetings about women. We have also published articles in books and journals which we place at your disposal. We would like to offer these in exchange for your bulletin, since at this moment it is impossible for us to pay the subscription.

To begin the exchange we are sending you a copy of a story called NONATO by Monserrat Farre Pujol and an article by Anabella Teresa Yafiez taken from a book published in 1973, which we could precis for you if you like. We will gradually send you more materials with different points of view, if you agree to this exchange.

Sincerely yours,

Monserrat Farre' Pujol y Anabella
