ALIMUPER, A.A. No. 2211, Lima 100, PERU. ' ALIMUPER went to ttie Plaza de Jesus Maria to denounce the commercialization of "Mother's Day" and the hypocrisy of the
system which ignores:
—1,500,000 single mothers
— sick children of malnourished mothers
— the penury of abandoned mothers raising children alone]
— abandoned children with neither roof nor protection
ALIMUPER protests :
— the physical and psychological exploitation of mothers '
— the lack of state aid for abandoned, widowed, and divorced mothers
— the infamous conditions of sanitation in maternity hospitals
We proclaim :
— We don't want flowers, we want rights
— Mothers are neither bought nor sold
— Queen for a day, slave the year 'round
ALIMUPER WANTS FOR MOTHERS :
— voluntary motherhood through the right to information and use of contraceptives
— mother and infant services for all mothers
— free legal aid services for abandoned and single mothers
— shared responsibility in childraising and domestic chores
— child care centres and communal dining halls
