Emphasizes the need for women's research: 1) To fill gaps in knowledge about women within different disciplines, 2) work out adequate theories, methods, and resources for research on women from women's points of view. 3) To expose scientific short-comings arising in research results due to patriarchal values which often guide research. 4) Point out unconscious underestimation of women's talent which prevents their full development, and disables them from furnishing research with well-needed new ideas. 5) To prevent research from acting as a tool for the oppression of women. 6) To fully realize the 1873 reform when Swedish Universities were opened to women.
The first issue (Nr. 1. 1980) carried articles on the feminist movement, women and the workers' movement, women and industry, government, education, etc. Also carried book reviews and information about other feminist publications. Each major article has a brief English summary
