Reopening the International Womenspeacecamp

March 8 1985, in front of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, women in two caravans celebrated the reopening of the womenspeacecamp.

«The camp is an important link in the growing international womenspeacenetwork... Together we can challenge hierarchical power structures which reach the ultimate in the military system that sucks resources desperately needed for food and development and puts the future of the earth in the hands of a few men,» said women from the camp.

Women in the camp will concentrate mainly in organising protest and symbolic action. They will stay there until July 15. Send your support through messages of solidarity and go and stay there yourself.
