This is the first of the four issues of Women In Action that will appear in 1987. Women in Action is a channel for women around the world to share experiences, ideas and information. We invite all women, women's groups and organizations to participate in this sharing, by sending information about your activities; a description of your group, organization or network; news of coming events; appeals for support and solidarity; information about and copies of resource materials and publications you are producing. We will channel this information to other women around the world in future issues of Women in Action.

We are very happy to announce two new publications from Isis International:

The Women's Health Journal of the Latin American and Caribbean Health Network is now appearing six times a year in English. Produced in the Santiago, Chile office of Isis International, the Women's Health Journal shares information on women's health issues, experiences of women's health groups around the world, news and notices of activities organized by women around issues of health, publications and resources, information on health campaigns and calls for action.

The Spanish edition of Powerful Images: A Women's Guide to Audiovisual Resources in now available, under the title of Conquistando Las Imagenes: Guia de Recursos Audiovisuales de las Mujeres. This book shares the experiences of Third World women's groups in making and using audiovisual resources, gives practical tips on making and using audiovisual materials with groups, and includes an annotated listing of more than 600 audiovisuals, addresses of more than 250 producers and distributors, and an annotated bibliography.
