Greetings from MASW.

We are very pleased to introduce ourselves as voluntary organisation working for the welfare of rural downtrodden.

Our main aim is to educate and organise the powerless people, make them more stronger to solve their own problems by themselves.

We are a collective of professionally qualified, trained, and experienced social workers who have established this organisation to alleviate distress of the people.

At present we are concentrating more on Development Programmes. We heard that you (Isis International) are rendering valuable services for the welfare of women in the world. Really we are very much impressed with your wide range of activities like giving women's news, information about groups, conferences, events and resources, what is happening in the women's movement worldwide, etc.

For our effective work we are requesting you to kindly contribute resource materials on women's development. We shall be grateful if you could send us materials, journals, reports, information on conferences, relevant events, etc.

Looking forward to your valuable reply with materials.

I very much like Women in Action because it enlightens all women's problems. It creates awareness of women's setbacks. It also shares ideas and explains how women have dealt with similar problems. Reading it makes me feel part of global women.

Women in Action should also give statements which could encourage women to rise and change their dominated lives.

I travel to all our clubs as a national organizer and coordinator. I disseminate adult education materials to all our groups. Part of my work is to organize leadership training courses and also liaise for cross communication and give women training skills to enable them to be self-reliant.

As I go around visiting women's groups throughout Zimbabwe, I read the magazine and give members lime to discuss. That's how we realize that women's problems are the same. Tlxey also discuss women's stories and relate them to their own situation.

I must thank you very much about Women in Action. It has helped me develop my groups by explaining to them about the experiences of other women and how to deal not only with marital problems, but in society as well, even laws that discriminate women.

like Women in Action because it gives concrete examples of women's work and actions for a better future. The information on new networks and activities already established ones like TAMWA articles in issue No. 2/89. Your poems!

I would want to read more contributions that discuss previous ones or suggest global actions - e.g. global campaigns against the killing of female fetuses India.

It has been very useful in my work researcher, especially on African issues dealing with gender relations and women's political activities. Women Action is also a very good resource base for passing on information to Danish women in general through the KULU-Women in Development Organisation.
