Letter to our Readers

Dear readers,

First of all, a great big thank you to everyone who returned the questionnaires that we included in the last two issues of Women in Action. It is wonderful to get your responses both about Women in Action and about how you can participate more in our activities, particularly in view of our planned move to Asia.

Several of you sent in articles and information about your own activities and we have included some of them in this issue of Women in Action. The letters from our readers page also gives some of your responses.

Many of you asked to receive additional copies of Women in Action and/or to receive the Isis International Health Journal. We are processing these requests so that we can comply with your wishes as soon as we can. Many of you also expressed the wish to take part in training and internship programs. Your names are being put on a list to receive further information about training courses and internship programs when we begin organizing these.

Finally, we are taking into consideration all of your comments, suggestions and ideas for Women in Action, for information services and for ways we can work together. These are very helpful to us in planning our future Issues and activities and we will do our best to fulfill as many of your wishes as possible!

We would still like to hear from the rest of you!
You may be wondering what has happened to your issues of the book series in 1989. You will be receiving them, but not for a while yet. Sorry for being late!

We have been very busy with preparations for transferring our work from Rome to Asia. Two of us had a very wonderful trip to several countries of Asia in November and are excited by the enthusiastic reception to the idea of moving Isis International there. A number of practical matters have to be worked out before we can make the final decision as to where and when the transfer will take place.

The office in Rome will be closed as of 31 March 1990. During the transition period-until we have an address in Asia— we have arranged for a collection point for mail and documentation In Rome. We will do our best to keep up with the mail and publications during this transition period. You can help us by using our new address in Rome, so we can be sure of receiving your correspondence and publications!!
