"The Age of the Green Consumer" is one of three major themes to be discussed at the 13th International Organization of Consumer Unions (lOCU) World Congress, scheduled for July, 1991 in Hong Kong.

"Partners in Life" Global Assembly of Women and the Environment
November 4-8, 1991
Miami, Florida (USA)
Convened by the Senior Women's Advisory Group on Sustainable Development of the United Nations Environment Program in cooperation with U.N. agencies, the Global Assembly of Women and the Environment, is a forum for women to present their activities and success stories in the areas of water; wastes; environmentally friendly systems; products and technologies; and energy as it relates to climate change.
The Assembly will provide an important opportunity for women to demonstrate their environmental solutions to those interested in achieving sustainable development throughout the world, and the contribution women are making. A highlight of the Assembly will be the presentation of Success Stories in which women's leadership and/or their participation has been the primary factor. These experiences must be "repeatable, affordable, sustainable and visible" and should demonstrate that environment degradation was avoided or repaired.
